I am an ex-member of Hope Baptist Church of Springfield, Mo. and I want to explain the purpose of this blog.

This blog exists to tell the very real and truly horrifying story of the abuse I endured and the suffering I went through at the hands of Hope Baptist Church in Springfield, MO and its leaders.
Bringing these things to light is not a matter of slander, it isn’t an act of spite or anger.

This blog is a warning bell that serves to keep the wolves of Hope Baptist Church from Preying on any other sheep that might not see through their disguises.

This blog is dedicated to the truth, and will not willfully spare any details or information. The contents of the story are unsettling and disturbing, and a great deal of the abuse inflicted upon me was sexual in nature. Our blog will be detailed for clarity, so that there is no question or doubt to be cast in light of unclear terms or statements. 

And finally know this: what you will find here is truth, open and honesty. We have answered questions, volunteered information and wholeheartedly committed to stepping into the light in all of these matters. We believe that evil thrives in the shadows.
Attempt to speak to anyone related to Kevin Dodd in the congregation or leadership of Hope Baptist Church, and you will be met with secrecy and shamed with claims of you having no biblical right to any information.

Because the truth is every bit as damning as they fear it to be.
